The precedent study of the house is Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier. The idea that was taken from the Villa is the isolation and white box. These idea is then modified into a new concept, that is to create a house from a box and cut the middle part in irregular shape with the garden surrounded by the building. These irregular shape in the middle allow public to access it so they can go through to the isolated garden on the back of the house. The gallery also located in the basement with access from the side of the garden. From the front of the house, people could see a little view of the garden through the gap of the irregular wall of both houses. At the back, there are also public space where people could relax and sit around. The private part of the house mostly located at the front, as going through the back, it feels more public. The storage and the office is located under the garden. The storage is adjacent to both large and small gallery to allow artwork to be moved around easily.
